Initial Assessment
Not sure if acupuncture and herbs are right for you? Scared of needles? Let’s have tea! We can talk about your concerns, answer any questions you have about Chinese Medicine, and you can determine if I’m the right fit for you as a practitioner. I will always refer out if I feel you could benefit more elsewhere.

This is your first visit with me or a visit if you haven’t seen me more than 6 months. This appointment will be about an hour and a half. It will entail checking your vitals, a detailed discussion of your health, questions/concerns, followed by reading your pulse and tongue and ending with an acupuncture treatment or another modality if needed.

Follow up visit
The follow up visit will be about 50 minutes. It will entail a brief check-in about your well being and listening to your primary health concerns followed by an acupuncture treatment.

Herbal Consults
Many times I will suggest therapies in addition to a typical acupuncture treatment. Not all health conditions call for an additional therapy. However, to the extent that I believe they will be beneficial, we can decide if lengthening the follow-up visit is appropriate or scheduling it for another follow up appointment is better.

Included in your visit if time allows, or +$20 to extend your visit to an hour allowing time for more modalities to be employed
Consultations over zoom or on the telephone are recommended when you are coming down with something, out of town, or unable to make it into for an appointment. Herbs do internally what acupuncture does externally, as each herb enters and works on one or more meridians. These appointments are 30 minutes for return patients.

I extend 16% discounts to those who are on fixed incomes (students, retirees, etc.), immediate neighbors at the corner of NW 22nd and Glisan, and due to financial hardship. I strive not to turn anyone in need away so if the fees are unaffordable at this moment in your life please let me know ahead of time in your intake form or otherwise.
